Information provided by the South Africa Investigative Liason for the Operation Fish Eagle investigation resulted in a search warrant for property suspected involved in the trafficking of abalone in East Cape, South Africa. During the May 11, 2023 search, authorities found abalone on drying racks and three (3) suspects were arrested, to include one (1) Chinese national, one (1) Mozambique national and one female. The 4551 units of abalone seized was valued at $140,000 USD.
