On May 24, 2023, the Kenya Wildlife Task Force acted on intelligence that resulted in the seizure of 23 elephant tusks weighing approximately 113.75 kgs. The team was deployed to Sipili in Laikipia County in Kenya where one (1) subject was intercepted driving a white Nissan van containing the 23 tusks that were concealed in sacks. The subject was arrested by the team and the tusks were seized.
